i'm really excited for this one lol I am as well. My one fear is that they'll use the "lesbian" gimmick for ratings, as it happens all too often, but the show seems like it can handle delicate topics without going overboard. Plus, Boston is super gay friendly, which makes it so much better.

I'm really excited for this one. I can't wait to see how they handle the topic of homosexuality in general.

I can't wait for this episode to air. I'm excited to see how they're going to do this. I do have a feeling, as Trublu stated, that they will try and use the lesbian gimmick for ratings, but I think they can handle it in a good way. This comes out the night before I go back to school, so atleast I get a bit of happiness in the form of Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander before I go back to my own personal Hell lol.

Count me in as another one who is interested to see how this one's going to be portrayed. As much as I love Angie Harmon, she is a Republican and all and I have a hard time thinking we'll see any type of lip lock between her and another woman. Sasha's done it before so maybe she'll be the one to step up and represent the title?? I really hope it's done right and agree that a lot of shows have jumped on the lesbian or bisexual bandwagon purely for ratings. And I do have to admit that it kinda irritates me that also in this episode, Maura tries to fix Jane up with a guy. Almost like they have to throw out the 'ol "Hey wait a minute! I'm only pretending to be gay. I love men!" disclaimer. This show is overflowing with subtext. Here's hoping Maura and Jane just do it and get it over with!

Good lord. I felt like I was going to get diabetes watching this episode. So many squeeable moments, I couldn't even hope to go through them all. Someone please argue to me that Jane and Maura are not already married, and aren't just putting a ruse on for everyone else. They've had 2 sleepovers in 6 episodes so far, what other evidence do we need, really? I'll try and stop grinning long enough to actually comprehend the episode: I was a bit disappointed that the wife was the killer, but I suppose I can also appreciate that, as far as murder storylines though, the insurance one is something we see often enough in straight couples that they just translated to a lesbian couple. I can't tell if they were shooting for normalcy, though, or if they were exploiting the fact that gay marriages are recognized in Massachusetts for a lesbian storyline. Then again, who else was the killer going to be, the uber-religious homophobe? (Been there, done that too.) But, I was also really happy at the way the characters handled the case. The guys were mildly obnoxious, but honestly I laugh at that kind of thing now; I think they made their point mentioning Korsak's three wives. Maura, was of course Maura. And a hot waitress. I think the only thing that truly bothered me in this episode was that they balanced out Jane's undercover gig with a relationship with a male nurse who wanted to be a stay at home dad, and made him out to be this awful, awful person. Overwhelming on a first date? Yes. But the way Jane referenced him, it was like he had the plague, and I feel like he was the scapegoat who got all of the negativity that wasn't directed to the murder victim. Overall, though, I couldn't not like this episode, and I so wish I could pick Angie Harmon's brain about this one.

This episode was awesome. I was kind of annoyed by the male nurse storyline. Simply because it seemed like they were trying to shove the fact that Jane is straight in our faces (even though she totally isn't). And she kept whining about how overwhelming he was being. That got on my nerves. Jane and Maura are most definitely married, or at least engaged. Because they seem to be extremely comfortable in bed together... And Maura. In that sexy waitress outfit. *drool* Plus the gratuitous boob stare... I loved it. All in all, I really enjoyed the episode.

I feel like a few times (and I think it was verbalized at least once) that they were trying to imply that because he was 1. a male nurse, 2. wanted to be a stay at home dad, and 3. was perhaps a little more on the feminine side, that he had to be gay. That peeved me a bit, since it was never resolved that he could be all those things and not be gay, and the only reason that he backed off in the end was because Maura told him Jane was gay in order to get her out of dating him. I much rather would have liked to see some sort of confrontation with the character, resulting in Jane getting told off by this guy for assuming things. And, thank you for the naming of the 'gratuitous boob stare'. I think that's going to be its official title in reference from now on.

I would have loved to see some kind of confrontation. I think it would have been a really nice end to the story line. And what was up with Maura suddenly dating the creepy yoga instructor guy? He was extremely annoying. I don't really know what it was, but something about him just irked me. As much as I would love to take credit for 'gratuitous boob stare', but I borrowed it from dorothysnarker on twitter. It was quite glorious though.

I agree that it seemed as though the emphasis Jane's aversion to Jorge's non-traditionally masculine qualities simply came off as trying to over-convince the viewers that she's attracted to traditionally masculine men. And not Maura. Their friendship actually remarkably resembles my and my best friend's relationship. For years, most people thought we were in a committed, loving romantic relationship, right down to the married-couple-esque bickering. She's the Rizzoli to my Isles.

Truthfully, the male nurse storyline didn't really bother me all that much because it was obvious that Jane wasn't interested. And I think they were trying to show that Jane wouldn't go for someone the polar opposite, but she couldn't go for someone just like her either - she needed someone to balance her out. And there was a comment that Maura made that stuck with me - "Maybe you just need someone loving in your life" (or something to that affect). And I feel like it was her way of saying "First I tried to get you with the guy that's just like you - that didn't work. Then I tried someone the polar opposite and that didn't work. Is there no pleasing you" (that's what she said - yes I know, immature, but I have never been one to be mature for others).
I also felt that they had the plot line with the male nurse to try and show how Jane is questioning men in general. (In case you couldn't tell, I'm a TOTAL Rizzoli/Isles shipper).
And I just need to point out my favorite part in this entire episode. When Maura was the bartender and Jane was on her first date and Jane's date was crying, Maura came over in that...lovely top and asked if they could use any more drinks. Jane turned to face Maura only to be staring straight at her chest - and she definitely stared. I just found it extremely amusing.
