The eldest brother in a Boston “Brahmin” family (direct descendents of passengers on the Mayflower) is found in the harbor dead after an apparent sailing accident. But Maura’s close connection with the family and Jane’s resentment over the wealth they display threaten to derail their investigation. Angela, meanwhile, tries her hand at selling a Polynesian health drink. Mark-Paul Gosselaar (TNT’s upcoming Franklin & Bash) and Peter Onorati (Civil Wars) guest-star.

What did people think about this episode? I liked the premise, Maura being tied up with the well-to-do family, but I also feel like there were some noticeable gaps in the story, and I also thought the identity of the killer was obvious after they revealed Maura's involvement.
First, the family lawyer. I don't understand why he would make so much of a fuss in the beginning to protect the family, but when it comes out that the middle son (I cant remember names) is the killer, he's all for Jane arresting him, especially once it's common knowledge that the eldest brother wasn't even related to the other two. The only thing I can think of is that the lawyer's only interest was covering up the affair, but why just the affair, then?
Second, I feel like the two younger brothers repeating the same phrase word for word "fairfields to a lot to each other, but brothers don't kill brothers" was never really addressed. If they had said something similar, I could see the irony in having one brother be the killer, but they said the exact same thing, and with no explanation.
These two things didn't stop me from liking the episode, though, and I found the dinner scene, and the champagne debacle to be hilarious.
