So I came across a more lengthy synopsis of this episode...
After an undercover cop working a narcotics-smuggling sting is shot dead, the killers next turn their sites on Boston homicide headquarters, leaving Jane, Maura and Frankie Jr. trapped in a fight for survival on their home turf. It's a situation that will force Maura to challenge herself like never before. On the home front, Jane's parents are excited that their oldest child, Tommy, is being released after serving time in prison.
Given that this is the season finale I have a feeling we'll be left with a cliffhanger. Any thoughts on how this will play out? It's the line about Maura challenging herself that intrigues me the most.

This sounds really interesting, and I hope the bit about Maura challenging herself will be somewhat clearer by the end of tomorrow night's episode.
And it seems like Angela Rizzoli should stop giving Jane a hard time about Frankie following in her footsteps--it seems he could do a lot worse.

I'm wondering if Jane or Frankie get hurt and she has to step in - using her medical skills to save a life? That's how it plays out in my head anyway.
I love Jane's mother. She provides that nice balance of comic relief and Lorraine is perfect for the role. Her dad doesn't appear much and it doesn't really bother me that he doesn't.

I think Frankie's on to something when he thinks that Angela's working up to leaving Frank. (Plus, I heard that's what happens in the books. 1) It'll be interesting to see that play out. And I'm a sucker for h/c stuff, so Jane or Frankie being injured and Maura saving the day? Excellent. ---------- 1 Then again, I also read somewhere that Jane and Agent Dean are married in the books, and the idea of that is absolutely appalling. This show takes place in Massachusetts for a reason.

Ooh this sounds really interesting.
I like the idea of Jane/Frankie getting hurt and Maura having to save them. And Jane's brother is in prison? Verrrrry interesting...
I'm really looking forward to seeing this episode

I can picture it now...Jane hurt and Maura saving her life and playing nurse for a while. *sigh* It's interesting that they don't always follow what's in the books. I haven't read them all so I'm not sure about her parents splitting. It seemed like there was some trouble brewing in "Born To Run".

It could go either way. Either Maura saves Jane and then fawns over her for awhile (even if only in fanfic), or Maura saves Frankie, and Jane swoons is overwhelmingly grateful. Either way, there WILL be "friendly" cuddling. In bed.

Either way, there WILL be "friendly" cuddling. In bed. And it turns into a lovefest sleepover

I do find it interesting that they've had "friendly" conversations in bed twice now. No complaints, of course.

I'm both strenuously looking forward to this and hoping that Monday takes it time in getting here, just because there will be no more new episodes after this (for awhile, at least).
I did read on Twitter today that they would be tweeting during the "off season" so that's a relief.

Do you Sasha and Angie have Twitters? I looked but I never found them.

After seeing the promo for this episode, I'm looking forward to it even more. Except for the fact that it's the finale. I'm looking forward to what the "off season" tweets will be like. Hopefully they will be rife with potential plot bunnies.
I'm also hoping they release the show on DVD. Cause that would just make my year.

Ironically, the 2 minute preview didn't do much to make me anxious for the episode to air. Then again, it was mostly case-based and let's face it...I'm not watching this show for the cases.
